About the BC Graduation Program and Graduation for Adult Learners

The 2004 Graduation Program applies to all students entering grade 10 after September 2004, and requires the completion of certain courses in grades 10, 11 and 12.

You have a lot of choice in how you get your education, but it’s important to be aware of what you’ll need in order to graduate from high school with a Dogwood Diploma. You can read up on the 2004 Graduation Program on the Ministry of Education website. There’s also a useful handbook available, the Grad Planner-2004 Graduation Program.

As part of your graduation program, you also have an opportunity for long-term planning. The Planning 10 course provides you with a chance to look at future life goals, explore post-secondary education and training programs, and to look at the courses in grades 11 and 12 that will meet these goals.

Graduation for Adult Learners

Students can enrol in adult education programs to complete their high school graduation, obtain the B.C. Adult Graduation Diploma (or "Adult Dogwood"), prepare for further education at the post-secondary level, or gain employability and life management skills.

Information regarding eligibility and requirements of the Adult Graduation program can be found here.
