Delta's Home Quest program is designed for students in Kindergarten to Grade 7. The staff at Home Quest is committed to providing quality educational instruction and support to students and families seeking an alternative to a traditional classroom-based model. Home Quest offers a variety of weekly face-to-face classes throughout the year, which will cover many of the prescribed learning outcomes in subject areas such as Fine Arts, Physical Education, Language Arts, French, Science and Math. The classes, as well as field trips and special events, provide opportunities for students to gain experiences that might be difficult to provide in individual settings. They allow for social interaction, and assist in long-term skill development as each class builds on the skills of past experiences. Our goal is to offer classes and learning experiences that broaden each student’s educational base and provide enriching experiences, within the guidelines of a Distributed Learning program.

EOP, SD 83's Distributed Learning Progam, is a teacher-directed program designed to respond to the varying needs of students and parents, who want more choice and flexibility in education. We offer paper-based and on-line courses with teacher support. Students take the same courses and earn the same credits as they would in a classroom setting, but with more choice and flexibility. EOP is ideal for students who prefer to work at their own pace, at their own place and time, or whose interests may not be reflected in the course offerings in their neighbourhood school.

Online learning offers students opportunities to access good instructional materials that fully meets the provincial learning outcomes using technologies that provide access at times and places convenient to students.

Kamloops Open Online Learning has been providing quality online courses since 1998. We currently support more than 600 students province-wide through course offerings, tutorial services and timely and meaningful feedback. @KOOL also works in partnership with schools outside of the Kamloops/Thompson School District to help them meet their online learning needs. We take pride in our quality of service that we offer to all of our learners and their families.

Nanaimo’s Learn@Home K-7 is a hybrid distributed learning school. It offers a unique blend of hands-on lessons, access to school facilities, parent tutorials, online instruction and extensive resources tailored to each student’s unique learning journey.
