How do I use a USB Microphone in an Elluminate session?
Many users with USB microphones may find that they do not always work
immediately in an Elluminate Live! session. The solution to this problem is to
plug-in your USB microphone or headset prior to joining the Elluminate Live!
session.
When Elluminate Live! starts, it checks the computer's current
audio sources to find out which audio device it should be using. The audio
sources are loaded into Elluminate Live! for use during the current session.
Once Elluminate Live! is running, it does not check the audio sources again.
This means if you plug-in a USB microphone or headset while the Elluminate
Live! session is in progress, it will not be detected. Elluminate Live!
continues to run with the settings the computer had when the session started.
To switch to a USB device during a live session, shut down Elluminate Live!,
plug in the device, and restart Elluminate Live!.
If you are using
Windows, you should also check that the correct audio settings are selected.
