Graduation Requirements

To graduate with a Dogwood – the official B.C. certificate of graduation – students have to meet certain requirements. These include:

  • passing courses such as English, math and science, including courses at the Grade 12 level;
  • completing Planning 10 and Physical Education 10;
  • completing a number of elective courses (courses students choose, based on their interests);
  • completing the Graduation Transitions Program (includes a presentation of selected accomplishments, documented regular physical activity, work experience and a transition plan for life after high school); and
  • writing a minimum of five provincial exams during the three-year Graduation Program.
